Data handling
The current app stores your information locally on your device by default. If you unlock Lifetime Premium and turn on sync, MapleDays can also store source records in your private iCloud account. This can include:
- Trip dates
- Destination text
- Optional notes
- Your first Canada entry date
- Your permanent resident date
- Optional printed PR card expiry
- Pre-PR eligible-status periods
- Derived dashboard snapshots used to keep the app responsive
MapleDays does not currently send this data to a MapleDays server.
When iCloud sync is on, MapleDays uses Apple's iCloud services tied to your Apple account on that device. MapleDays does not run its own backend for sync.
No account, analytics, or tracking
- MapleDays does not require a MapleDays account or in-app sign-in
- MapleDays does not include analytics SDKs
- MapleDays does not include advertising SDKs
- MapleDays does not track you across apps or websites
Exports, links, permissions, and changes
CSV export only happens when you choose to save or share your data through the iOS share sheet.
MapleDays may also open official IRCC web pages in Safari when you tap certain guidance links. Those sites are governed by their own privacy practices.
The current version of MapleDays does not request access to location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or notifications.
With sync turned off, your information remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, export it, or remove the app.
If you unlock Premium and turn on iCloud sync, MapleDays can also store source records in your private iCloud account so they can sync across your devices.
If MapleDays adds analytics, server-backed features, or new device permissions in a future version, this policy should be updated before release.
